San Antonio Texas based Blues Band Charlie and The Cool Cats play a combination of traditional, contemporary and original Blues music.  Traditional influences include Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Elmore James, Jimmy Reed, Magic Sam and more.   The band members are all long time accomplished musicians. Charlie and the Cool Cats have opened for or performed with headline acts Tab Benoit, Michael Burks, Omar and the Howlers, Koko Taylor, Ohio Players, LTD, Lazy Lester, and Bobby "Blue" Bland.  Charlie and The Cool Cats are currently playing the San Antonio club scene that includes such venues as Sam's Burger Joint Music Hall, San Antone Café & Concerts (formerly Casbeers at the Church), Tucker’s Kozy Korner, Fiasco Cocktails, Tycoon Flats, Rolling Oaks Golf Club, Tee Time Sports Bar, Quarry Golf Club, The Cove, Southside Barbeque and Barribas Cantina on the Riverwalk.  Regionally they have performed at River Road Icehouse, Oma Greune's Secret Garten, The Texas Music Theatre in San Marcos, Shade Tree Saloon & Grill, and Dirty's Bar, Q and Dr. Rockits in Corpus Christi, Texas. They love doing backyard parties, have also entertained at private parties, and have hosted Blues Jams for the San Antonio Blues Society and the New Braunfels Blues Society.  Charlie often plays at charity events and enjoys donating time doing benefits for worthy causes.
